This Dorothy Garske Center has conducted many programs for the people of Arizona since its
inception in 1985. The Center is now in its phase down period. The three primary programs of recent years are listed below.
The advance directives program is now all web based and we will transfer these resources to another
entity when this site closes. The Get-Fit Stay-Fit Challenge is available as
as self-administered program. Volunteers for
Outdoor Arizona is now an independent corporation with
Federal tax exempt status (501(c)3). The Center's final mission will be to help VOAz achieve financial
self-sufficiency.
Advance care planning is about using
living wills and other health care directives in ways that enhance the likelihood that
your wishes will be honored.
The health care directives documents and literature
at this site may be reproduced for personal use and distributed by health care and other human services
providers, governmental and religious organizations free or at the cost of reproduction.
The Center is no longer able to fulfill mail orders. (August, 2009)
